You will act as a subject matter expert for Claims Advisors to support them in developing the most effective return to work, return to life and recovery strategies and to deliver the right customer experience.


  • Work directly with Claims Management/Case Management Specialists as part of a team to deliver the icare customer experience.
  • Provide regular advice and feedback to Claims Management Specialists and Team Leaders on adverse decisions relating to injury management include treatment, services, medication etc).
  • Develop Injury Management Plans and implement strategies including leveraging relevant resources required in managing claim scenarios
  • Provide specialist Injury Management coaching and one on one support to team members regarding claims management strategy and treatment approvals
  • Work in conjunction with the Claims Management Specialist and Technical Specialist to effectively manage Permanent Impairment claims


  • Demonstrated experience in Injury management, particularly high risk significant injury claims
  • Insurance/workers insurance experience
  • Tertiary studies in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Exercise Science) is mandatory .
  • Excellent understanding of the Workers Compensation Act 1987 (NSW), the Workplace Injury Management & Workers Compensation Act 1998 (NSW), Workers Compensation Legislation Amendment Bill 2012, and the associated regulations and guidelines
