The Environmental Services department is responsible for the high standard of cleaning of the hospital. We have an efficient team that work together to maintain a hygienic and clean environment for patients, visitors and staff.
About the Role
The purpose of this role is to provide cleaning services and waste removal according to the policies and procedures of the Hospital and the Environmental Services Department. The cleaner is required to liaise with staff and customers (nurses, patients, visitors) concerning the service provisions.
About the Candidate
We are looking for an experienced cleaner who is flexible and prepared to cover different shifts to relieve staff on leave and cover during busy periods.
The candidate must have:
- Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare setting
- Understanding of infection control principles
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
- Ability to support the needs of the housekeeping department working independently or as a member of a team
- Previous experience with a variety of cleaning equipment
