About the opportunity 

This management role is to coordinate the day-to-day running of the Multicultural Family Centre team and is responsible for undertaking a range of supervisory and coordination duties to ensure the effective on-going operations of the centre programs including but not limited to, Fathers’ Support Service, Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY), Supported Playgroups, School Readiness and Administration. 

This role is focused on providing leadership of a team delivering well-coordinated support responses, referral pathways to meet the needs of families.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences or a related discipline and a minimum 2 years’ experience in staff management and supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a multicultural and multidisciplinary team to achieve program’s outcomes and objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing, supervising, and supporting staff and team development, using a strengths based approach and cultural awareness
  • Capacity to develop, implement and evaluate programs/projects addressing families and children facing disadvantages
