We are a leading national contractor with proven experience in providing quality and innovative services to our valued clients.

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Audio-Visual Technician to join our Team for works within South East Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of intermediate to advanced integrated Audio-Visual Installations.
  • This includes, but is not limited to, installation infrastructure, cabling, head end equipment, configuration, programming and commissioning of Audio-Visual & Control Systems.
  • Interpret technical designs and undertake all aspects of the system installation.
  • Effectively communicate with principal contractors to ensure professional and timely delivery of systems
  • Present professionally and adhere to all WH&S requirements, have a positive and a “can do” attitude.
  • Develop, and interpret cable schedules, technical drawings, schematics, as well as site plans and project specifications
  • Professional and accurate installation of cabling as per relevant schedules.
  • Termination of cables to professional and industry standard.
  • Building Audio-Visual equipment racks to a professional standard, while adhering to all equipment installation standards and manufacture recommendations.
  • Installation of head-end equipment
  • Programming and commissioning of Audio-Visual Equipment
  • Configuration of network devices.
  • Configuration of IP based Audio-Visual equipment. (AVoIP).
  • Efficient time management and logging.
  • Timely completion of all required reports.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

The position requires excellent technical abilities and financial planning, with an ability to interpret specifications, preparation of drawings and / or manuals, a high degree of problem solving, analytical ability, and also requires a high level of interpersonal skills with an ability to think laterally.

  • Have extensive working knowledge  in Commercial Audio-Visual Equipment
  • Medium to large building sites.
  • Auditorium and performing arts technologies.
  • Crestron Programming Experience
  • Commissioning complex Audio-Visual Systems
  • Intermediate networking knowledge
  • Understanding of video and audio-conferencing systems
  • Understanding of audio-visual best practices
  • Understanding of control and automation systems
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and able to cope with ad-hoc requests
  • Strong emphasis on Quality control
  • ACMA Cabling Licence with endorsements
  • Current driver's licence
  • Construction Industry Card
  • EWP certification
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
