The Role
The Cultural and Linguistic Diversity Coordinator assists multicultural communities to access TAFE NSW initiatives, programs, products and services that enable students to compete for local job opportunities.

To be successful in this role you must have:
1. An appropriate degree or at AQF levels 5-8 or equivalent and appropriate vocational and/or industrial experience.
2. Proven ability to engage with diverse range of multicultural organisations, communities and individuals to foster productive and harmonious working relationships
3. The ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description.

Targeted Questions
1. Many multicultural communities are not familiar with the benefits TAFE training brings in readying people for work .How would you go about “building a bridge” from TAFE to these communities to draw them in to TAFE learning locations to gain these practical skills. Provide a work example of how you have successfully achieved a similar outcome. What were the keys to that success and what was the outcome with respect to matching people to training connected to jobs?

2. How would you measure success in the CALD Coordinator role? Describe the metrics that you would use to measure outcomes. If something is not working what data or intelligence sources would you use to help refine your strategies? Provide an example of how you have altered strategies to respond to emerging trends that were not anticipated up front in the design of an initiative?
